Wood house construction
Innov’Habitat is an expert in wooden structures and energy-efficient rеnovations for the private and the professional business. It has been implementing architectural techniques with oriented strand boards (OSB) and solid wood to create living spaces that will produce more energy than will consume.
For this, the French firm relies on the building assembling systems for wooden frames and ultra-efficient walls made by a partner company – the Heim Charpente manufacturing site located near Metz. One of the main components used in their projects is Kronospan OSB 4 which brings added value to the walls, roof covering and I-joists, and has two basic functions:
- - structural bracing: the OSB ensures the stability of the structure vertically or horizontally;
- - аir permeability: the OSB panel have a defined air permeability, which is essential for airtightness in timber frame constructions.
